My Favorites things in September

These are a few of my favorite things for September that is…
Tv Shows I have enjoyed this month (I believe all of these are on Hulu)
·                                             Steampunked – We started watching this and it was very cool show the contestants steampunk a different room in a house each week and the have a steam punk theme they have to cater to also so for example the bathroom was a submarine so they had to create a bathroom with a submarine theme it was a very cool show.
·                                             Mad Mad house- this was an unusual show it was kind of like big brother where there are several different people that go live in a house and they film the interactions, however the spin on this is there are five dominates (as the show called them that lived in the house and practiced some alternate form of lifestyle. So, to explain this there was a practicing witch who did wiccan rituals that they all had to participate in, there was a voodoo priestess that did voodoo rituals that again they were expected to participate in, there was also a modern primitive that was all about body modifications, there was a naturalist that was naked most of the time, and a modern vampire that shared his rituals as well. If the contestants could stay to the end they won money, it was a very interesting show.
·                                             Hellevator – This was by far my favorite show, It was twisted and freaky right up my alley, the basis of this show was a team of 3 people would get on an elevator and the hosts of the show would proceed to tell them a story about the building and the elevator would move floor to floor and the contestants would have to compete in challenges in a certain period of time and then make it back to the elevator and the team would win so much money and at the end the contestants left would go through a labyrinth and gather as much cash as they can while the sadistic hosts are scaring them with all kinds of crazy scary things. I highly recommend this show if you’re looking for something fun to watch for Halloween.
Movies that I watched this month
·                                             Saving private Ryan- this was a movie I have watched before and I really do like this and it brings into perspective a little bit of what my grandfather may have gone through (he served in WW2) I salute all the past present and future Vets and I thank you for your unselfish service for our country.
·                                             Dracula dead and loving it- I LOVE Mel brooks movies I think he is a comic genius and knows how to slip innuendo jokes in place you wouldn’t think they would fit.
·                                             Young Frankenstein- Again another Mel Brooks movie but I really do think they are funny however do not watch if you get offended easily, but if you enjoy a good spoof movie I highly recommend
Books I have enjoyed this month
o    I have been starting to read the scriptures again this month, I have felt a little lost in my life lately and feel that maybe I will find the answers I am looking for.
                     General favorites
·                                             I have been dying coffee filters for some roses and for the backdrop for the wedding vow renewal
·                                             Been trying to get the kids on a homework schedule and trying to get caught up on some housecleaning (ugh seems like I am always trying to catch up and never can get ahead on housecleaning Lol)
Well that’s my favorite things for the month of September  see you all in my next post What I learned in September . What are some of your favorite things this month?  Also stay tuned for some tutorials in my wedding prep series.

I have always wanted to....

So without further ado here is today's post (that should have been posted on friday). Today's topic is... I have always wanted to... Well to answer this question I would say there are several things I have always wanted to do but most of them I'm to scared to try lol. Such as I think it would be an amazing experience to go surfing and scuba diving. But because I can't swim very well I am to scared to try. My motto is I can only drown once! Lol I know that's not really funny but it's strange how rear can dictate what a person does. I think seeing all the fish and coral would be amazing. I have heard from others that have done it and they said the experience was breathtaking, and that words could not explain it.        Another thing that I would love to do is see all 50 states and I have been to 5 so far but unfortunately that takes money. That's another thing that dictates what people can do. Money i...

Handbook for the recently deceased makeup palette

So, I was watching YouTube and I really enjoy watching makeup reviews especially inexpensive make up. I enjoy this because I feel like it’s makeup, that I could maybe buy and use someday. I saw a woman reviewing a very unique palette. Her YouTube name is nerdy girl Makeup. (I will leave the link at the bottom of the post so you can check her out) I just ran across her and started watching because of this palette. I have since subscribed and really enjoy her tutorials and reviews you should check her out. Any way back to the topic at hand. She was reviewing this palette that was based on the beetle juice movie. I am a huge fan of anything Halloween. So, I decided that I needed this palette in my life. So, this journey took me to my local Mall. Because this palette can only be found at Hot Topic in the Mall. Now for any one that knows me knows that I am not the biggest fan of the mall. But I felt I would make an exception to have this palette in my life. So, I went to Hot...

Introduction to wilderness series

Hey all welcome back, Today I am wanting to talk about something a little serious, in my area we have been having some earthquake activity. Now we don’t have many noticeable earthquakes here, I am from Utah and we have little ones you know the barely noticeable ones but lately they have been getting stronger. The last one that was recorded that was large for here was 4.1 and it was southern Utah on April 13th. But we are having bigger and bigger ones. So, with that being said I thought it would be a good idea to talk about what to do in an emergency situation. Now being prepared will always be first and foremost the most important thing. A little prep will make things so much better for the future. I posted a poll on twitter asking in a disaster what would be the first thing you would want to do. 1. Make a shelter 2. Gather/finding a clean water source 3. Make a fire 4. Get a food source Now for me the first two things I would probably do is find a water ...
