Lessons I learned this month

I decided to make this a monthly post because I feel it’s always good to reflect on the lessons that you learned whether they are good or bad. SO, this month the first lesson I learned is to not take family for granted. My husband had an uncle that passed away suddenly this month and a year ago I had a cousin that passed suddenly a year ago and she was only a few years older than my husband, so I have reflected and learned that I would be lost without my family they are the drive that keeps me going every day, my husband is my rock and without him I would not have the confidence to achieve have the things I have in my life.

The second thing I have learned is respect is not demanded it is earned. My position with my company is considered a supervisory position and I had to learn to lead and try not to butt heads with my staff. I have learned that If I give them respect and have them feel respected and heard that I get the respect I need and that they are more willing to do what I asked them to. Which leads me to the 3rd lesson I learned this month that leading by example is best. I don’t ask the staff to do anything I wouldn’t or haven’t done. Which again builds that respect.    So, this post is going to be short and sweet. But what are some of the things you have learned this month? Did you learn similar lessons or something entirely different? Thanks for stopping by.

I have always wanted to....

So without further ado here is today's post (that should have been posted on friday). Today's topic is... I have always wanted to... Well to answer this question I would say there are several things I have always wanted to do but most of them I'm to scared to try lol. Such as I think it would be an amazing experience to go surfing and scuba diving. But because I can't swim very well I am to scared to try. My motto is I can only drown once! Lol I know that's not really funny but it's strange how rear can dictate what a person does. I think seeing all the fish and coral would be amazing. I have heard from others that have done it and they said the experience was breathtaking, and that words could not explain it.        Another thing that I would love to do is see all 50 states and I have been to 5 so far but unfortunately that takes money. That's another thing that dictates what people can do. Money i...

Handbook for the recently deceased makeup palette

So, I was watching YouTube and I really enjoy watching makeup reviews especially inexpensive make up. I enjoy this because I feel like it’s makeup, that I could maybe buy and use someday. I saw a woman reviewing a very unique palette. Her YouTube name is nerdy girl Makeup. (I will leave the link at the bottom of the post so you can check her out) I just ran across her and started watching because of this palette. I have since subscribed and really enjoy her tutorials and reviews you should check her out. Any way back to the topic at hand. She was reviewing this palette that was based on the beetle juice movie. I am a huge fan of anything Halloween. So, I decided that I needed this palette in my life. So, this journey took me to my local Mall. Because this palette can only be found at Hot Topic in the Mall. Now for any one that knows me knows that I am not the biggest fan of the mall. But I felt I would make an exception to have this palette in my life. So, I went to Hot...

Introduction to wilderness series

Hey all welcome back, Today I am wanting to talk about something a little serious, in my area we have been having some earthquake activity. Now we don’t have many noticeable earthquakes here, I am from Utah and we have little ones you know the barely noticeable ones but lately they have been getting stronger. The last one that was recorded that was large for here was 4.1 and it was southern Utah on April 13th. But we are having bigger and bigger ones. So, with that being said I thought it would be a good idea to talk about what to do in an emergency situation. Now being prepared will always be first and foremost the most important thing. A little prep will make things so much better for the future. I posted a poll on twitter asking in a disaster what would be the first thing you would want to do. 1. Make a shelter 2. Gather/finding a clean water source 3. Make a fire 4. Get a food source Now for me the first two things I would probably do is find a water ...
